1/10th Scale Electric Hydroplane Racing

1993 - 2017

Welcome to Classic Thunder

The first 1/10th Scale Electric Unlimited Hydroplane club in the world!

As pioneers of a growing 1:10 Scale electric hydro class, our goal is to continue to duplicate real unlimited hydroplane racing as closely as we can. Since our inception in 1993, we have not only tried to recreate the boats of several eras, but to encourage a spirit of fun, respectful competition and comradery within our membership.   If you'd like to find out more about Classic Thunder, what we do, how to get involved or if you simply have questions, feel free to contact us.

P.S.  Let's go Racin!

As luck would have it, New Year's Eve falls on a Sunday this year, so we made a little change. This year, we will still be NAMBA insured for the last day of 2017!  Let's take full advantage. Come join us by the fire pit on New Year's Eve to talk boats, see projects in the works, drink some coffee and run some boats.  Feel free to bring hot dogs to cook over the flames if you like. It's all good!  Meet at the upper gazebo and bring a boat or two to show or run.

(Stay tuned for any extreme weather issues that could come up as the event approaches.) Keep your fingers crossed for decent conditions for being outside.
